Threadlift Diary Day 2,3,4, 5
DAY 2
So I had my Promoitalia threadlift procedure yesterday.
My sleep last night
I didn’t sleep on an extra pillow last night to help the swelling as advised, because it was difficult enough to get to sleep, as I like to sleep on my face, but this was just TOO painful so it took me a while to get to sleep.
This morning
So glad I’m not going to work today. Just going to stay home and rest. I would advise those having a threadlift to take the day after the procedure off. If they weren’t able to, it wouldn’t matter. It’s just nice to be able to relax after a cosmetic procedure. I’ll be fine to go to work tomorrow.
My face is swollen, but not too horrific
Having a procedure myself gets me really inspired
I have been dreaming up uses of crosslinked threads all last night, and thinking about certain patients with different problems that are difficult to fix. I can’t wait to see them to talk about possible plans using these threads. I want to trial a cellulite treatment using dermal fillers and crosslinked threads! I really want to treat some upper arms with the crosslinked threads for that awful upper arm appearance that plagues women at a certain age
I also want to try them in some abdomen skin.
Also I’m dying to have the cheek tweak threadlift procedure asap!

DAY 3
Still swollen, still wearing tape. Looks exactly the same as yesterday
Went to work today, and of course the funniest patients all had to come in to cause me constant pain in the cheeks while trying to stop laughing.
Itchiness is the worst. Just want to rip the tape off.
DAY 4
Hairdresser this morning. Not sure which metaphor would be closest to how I felt, ie like I was:
“Putting lipstick on a pig” OR the Aussie version “polishing a turd”
ie what’s the point of trying to look good with my swelling, bruising and crazy tape, but what the hell, going to the hairdresser is my second favourite hobby:)
My hairdresser, Divine Miss Em and I, doing the best we can
DAY 5
The tape comes off! quite a bit of bruising. Some swelling. Bruising could be covered with makeup if I wanted to bother.

Namoi you talk the talk and walk the walk. You are as vain as the rest of us and will NEVER be one of those docs who want to send me a psychiatrist in case I have some sort of body dysmorphic disorder.
Man, I just want maintenance and to look good and sometimes you have to go back to the clinic multiple times!!!
Thanks for coming into my life!

Dagmar,
Thanks. (I think!)
I’m glad you’re feeling my blog!
Some of it is aimed at the sophisticated cosmetic patient:)
LOL@ “sometimes you have to go back to the clinic multiple times”
I could say (along the same vein): Sometimes I just have to make 5 hour appointments with myself.
Obviously neither of us is really joking…..
Oh and ps I’ve always thought that cosmetic patients are the opposite of vain if you take the definition of vanity as: “Excessive pride in or admiration of one’s own appearance or achievements.”
In practice I do find that my patients are better at finding their flaws than admiring themselves excessively.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, it enhances my blog:)

Hi Doc – you did not need the threadlift. When you are healed please post side by side Before and After photos as I said you look good before.
